CUSD Summer School Offerings: 2019



Capistrano Valley High School


Summer School Dates:

  • July 1-July 25   (for classes that are 100% online, CTE or Math-Bridge)
  • June 26-July 25 for students taking any A-G classes (Mandatory Orientation on either 6/26, 27 or 28


Courses offered:

  1. New: Health 100% online, with online orientation and exams.
  2. New: A-G Geometry for Acceleration (Hybrid Online w/ Optional Lecture/Lab) taught by CUSD Geometry teachers, class customized to meet CUSD curriculum.
    Mandatory orientation on either June 26, 27 or 28.
  3. New: A-G Spanish I and II
    Mandatory orientation on either June 26, 27 or 28.
  4. New: ALL Non A-G courses (including Math, English, Social Studies, PE and More Electives than ever before) 100% online. For students that prefer non-online option, some classes are also offered in packet-based format, with weekly teacher meetings.
  5. New: Non A-G Spanish for Spanish speakers; meets Fine Arts grad requirement
  6. ALL A-G Math, English, Social Studies Spanish, and Biology: Open Labs provided for Math and English. Geometry and Algebra 1 have optional lectures.  Mandatory Lab attendance for Biology.
    CUSD requires that all exams must be taken in person for all A-G students.
    Mandatory orientation for all A-G students on either June 26, 27 or 28.
  7. New: Math Bridge classes for incoming grades 6,7,8,9. Mondays-Thursdays. 2.5 hrs/day in-person class, No credit.  July 1-25.
  8. New: CTE courses for High School and Middle School students
    High School credit. Mondays- Thursdays in person class, July 1-25)
  9. Late Grads: Save the Date: Graduation Ceremony July 26, Noon. CUSD Boardroom

****Teachers are available all school days for any student that requires any assistance, No apt needed.
