The 2020 Stallion Showcase will be held on Saturday, February 8.
Criteria for taking a Zero Period Class
Criteria for taking a Zero Period Class
A student must have an impacted schedule to obtain a zero period.
- AVID Program (final selection based on interview and AVID Coordinator approval)
- Music Program (instrumental or choral music)
- Advanced Drama (approval required from drama instructor Cambria Beilstein at CLBEILSTEIN@capousd.org)
- ASB – Must be selected for ASB by Activities Director
- Language Immersion Program
- Honors World History (must be pre-approved to take Honors English I)
Math Placement Exam for Students Entering Grade 9 from a Private School or School outside of CUSD
Math placement exam – For students entering grades 9 ONLY!
Students who wish to enroll in accelerated math courses (geometry and Algebra II/Trig Accelerated) during grade 9 will be required by the Capistrano Unified School District to take a math placement exam; regardless of grades received in their math class during grade 8.
- If you took Algebra I during grade 8 and wish to promote to Geometry, you will be required to take the Algebra I math final exam.
- If you took Geometry in grade 8 and wish to promote to Honors Algebra II/Trig, you will be required to take the Geometry math final exam.
All exams will be administered by District math personnel at the Capistrano Unified School District Education Center. The District Office is located at 33122 Valle Road, San Juan Capistrano, 92675; (949) 234-9200.
To register for the math placement exam please visit at Link to CAPO Math and locate the link titled ”Math Course Placement Info for Students Transferring into the Capistrano Unified School District in Fall 2020."
- In this section the math course placement testing information, criteria dates, times and location are available for download, as well as a link to a Google form named, “Math course placement testing registration form.” Parents will be required to register their child for math course placement testing by completing this form.
