Education has always been extremely important to me. I grew up as a student in CUSD; I attended Viejo Elementary School, Niguel Hills Junior High School, and Capistrano Valley High School. After attending the University of California at Santa Barbara where I received my B.A. in English, teaching credential, and M.Ed., I moved back to Orange County and started my teaching career in CUSD. This is my fifteenth year teaching in CUSD. For nine years, I taught English and reading at Marco Forster Middle School; for seven of those years, I also served as the English Department Chair. At the start of the 2007-2008 school year, I moved over to San Juan Hills High School to open the school. Currently, I am serving as SJHHS’s English Department Chair. I love working with the students and staff here, and I look forward to a fantastic year.
