Darcie Stress

Education has always been extremely important to me. I grew up as a student in CUSD; I attended Viejo Elementary School, Niguel Hills Junior High School, and Capistrano Valley High School. After attending the University of California at Santa Barbara where I received my B.A. in English, teaching credential, and M.Ed., I moved back to Orange County and started my teaching career in CUSD. This is my seventeenth year teaching in CUSD (I will be on maternity leave for the first semester of the 2014-15 school year). For nine years, I taught English and reading at Marco Forster Middle School; for seven of those years, I also served as the English Department Chair. At the start of the 2007-2008 school year, I moved over to San Juan Hills High School to open the school, and I served as SJHHS’s English Department Chair for 6.5 years. I love working with the students and staff here, and I look forward to a fantastic year.
