San Juan Hills falls short of the CIF playoffs by one game

5-7-2010:  Loss to CDM 18-1

5-8-2010:  Loss to University 8-7

5-11-2010:  Loss to Laguna Hills 9-3

5-13-2010:  Loss to Laguna Hills 8-4

San Juan Hills beats Corona Del Mar to move into 2nd place with 4 games to go.

San Juan Hills beat Corona Del Mar 4 to 3 in thier second meeting of the year.  Christian Stubbs pitched 6 innings only giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run to earn the Victory.  Cody Schmitz pitched the 7th inning to earn the save for the Stallions.  The offense was lead by Payton Resiman and Kyle Murray.  Payton was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and a double.  Kyle Murray was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI.  Cody Schmitz also had a good day at the plate going 2 for 4 with a double, stolen base, and a run scored.

This victory moves San Juan Hills into a half game lead over Corona Del Mar in second place.  San Juan Hills has a record of 6-5 and is battling for a play off spot with Corona Del Mar, Laguna Hills, and University.   The Stallions will play thier next game against Corona Del Mar at CDM this Friday then will have a make up game this Saturday against University at home 11:00 AM.

Irvine beats up San Juan Hills 16-7

The bats for Irvine came alive in the 4th inning for Irvine as they scored 7 runs in the inning.  That would prove to be enough to beat the Stallions who scored 7 runs.   The Stallions offense was lead by Cody Smitz (1 for 4, 3 RBI, and a double), Tony Pelleriti (double), and Sergio Tellez (double).

The loss puts San Juan Hills at 5-5 in league.

San Juan Hills beats Irvine in extra innings 6-5

San Juan Hills survived the battle with Irvine even though the defense played poorly.  The Stallions commited 6 errors leading to 6 un-earned runs for Irvine.  Cody Schmitz ended up earning the victory by getting some key outs in the 8th inning.

The offense was lead by Sam Robison who was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, and a triple.  Kyle Murray had a big day at the plate going 2 for 4 with a triple, 1 RBI and 1 run scored.  Kody Weil also contributed to the offense going 2 for 4 scoring 1 run.

San Juan Hills beats Ventura 7-5 in the final game of the Beach Pit classic to end 2-2

San Juan Hills falls to Northwood 1-10 in the 3rd game of the Beach Pit Classic

The Stallions loose to heavy hitting Cajon High School (San Bernardino) 7-14

San Juan HIlls beats Division 1 7th ranked Newport Harbor 6-2

The Stallions played well in all aspects of the game to beat division 1 7th ranked Newport Harbor.  The Stallions had great pitching performances from Bryce Baker (win), Aldo Gamboa, Casey Przybylak, and Cody Schmitz.  The 4 pitchers help the Sailor offense to 2 runs on 8 hits.  The defense also played well turning 2 double plays and only commiting 1 error.  The offense was lead by Casey Przybylak who was 2 for 4, scored once, stole a base, and had a 2 out triple that scored two runners.  Cody Schmitz and Kyle Murray each had a double in the game.

Outstanding pitching performance by Christian Stubbs leads to victory over Laguna Hills

The Stallions had an outstanding pitching performance by Junior Christian Stubbs to help San Juan HIlls defeat Laguna Hills 1-0 in the last game of the first round of the Pacific Coast League.  Christian pitched a complete game shutout only giving up 3 hits and striking out 5.  Laguna Hills pitcher Warner also pitched a great game striking out 10 Stallion batters.  The Stallions were able to put one run across the plate when Sam Robison had a 2 out double in the first inning.  Tony Pelleriti followed with an infield hit and Sam Robison was able to score when the short stop threw the ball away at first.  The Stallions threatened to score in the 3rd inning when Cody Schimitz had a base hit, Sergio Tellez sacrificed cody to second.  Tony Pelleriti had a base hit to left field and Cody schmitz was thrown out at the plate on a good throw from the left fielder Tereschuck.

The victory puts San Juan HIlls at 3-2 in league at the conclusion of the first round of the Pacific Coast League.

Stallions fall to the Sea Kings 11-4

San Juan Hills lost a tough game on Tuesday 3-30-10 to Corona Del Mar.  This puts the Stallions at 2-2 in league.

Tony Pelleriti and Sam Robison lead the team in offense.  Sam Robison was 2 for 3 and Tony Pelleriti was 2 for 3 with a  2 RBI double.  Payton Reisman also contributed with a double in the game.

San Juan Hills defeats Irvine High School to improve to 2-1 in league

The Stallions defeated Irvine High School to improve to 2-1 in league.  Christian Stubbs pitched an outstanding game only giving up 4 hits walking 2 and strking out 4 in a complete game victory.

The offense was lead by Junior Casey Przybylak who had a clutch 2 out double in the first inning to score the first 2 runs of the game for the Stallions.  Sam Robison had a good day at the plate going 2 for 3.

Stallions earn their Frist PCL Victory in school history

The Stallions earned their first PCL victory by defeating University High school 9-6 at home.  San Juan Hills had solid pitching performances from Cody Schmitz, Bryce Baker, Aldo Gamboa, and Christian Stubbs.  Bryce Baker earned the victory and Christian Stubbs earned a save.  The defensive highlight came in the 6th inning when University tried to tie up the ball game on a base hit to right field.  Kyle Murray came up and threw a strike to catcher Anthony Leal who tagged out the would be tying run.

The offense was lead by Sam Robison 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI.  Kody Weil was 2 for 3 scoring 3 times.  Tony Pelleriti also contributed to the offense with an RBI Triple.

The Stallions are 1-1 in league and will play Irvine at home on Friday 3-26-10 at 3:15 PM.

The Stallions Lose their first PCL game to 4th ranked Beckman 6-0

Kyle Groff had a double in the game.

Stallions Win Season opener at UC Riverside Sports Complex vs Norte Vista 4-0

San Juan HIlls opened their 2010 season with a victory in the first game of the Newport Elks pre-season tournament.  The game was played at UC Riverside sports complex against Norte Vista.  The stallions were lead by an outstanding pitching performance from Junior Christian Stubbs.  Christian pitched a complete game shutout giving up only 1 hit.  The stallions supplied the necessary offense by Sam Robison 2 for 3 with a double, Cody Schmitz with a R.B.I Triple, and Payton Reisman with a double.
